Prayer Partnership

Please pray for our family as we prepare for the next two years of serving as IMB missionaries in Mporokoso, Zambia.  We leave for our Field Personnel Orientation (FPO) on October 17, and we will return home around the 18th of December.  We will be able to spend Christmas with family and are currently scheduled to leave the country January 7th.  We would be so thankful for your prayers, if the Lord brings us to your minds, specifically during the next few months...and then the two years after that! Please pray for our families as well, as they prepare to let us go.

"Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill, God's Truth abideth still.
His Kingdom is forever."

The Gospel is true.  The Resurrection is real.  The task of making disciples of all nations is His; Christ rules the nations with all the authority that belongs to Him alone.  "and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age"  (Matthew 28:18-20).  Because of these things, we go with great joy.  We realize that our Triune God is worthy to be worshipped by all peoples, not just one group of people.  May many souls from Mporokoso, Zambia be gathered around the Throne one day, worshipping and adoring the Risen Lamb, our Savior and King! By His Grace alone!

"Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying:
 'You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; For You were slain, and  have  redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and  people and nation...' "   ---Revelation 5:8-9

May our lives be spent for His Kingdom and glory.

And may God bless you, whether He is calling you to go yourself to the uttermost parts of the earth, or to be a fellow laborer for the Truth through your prayers and giving.  What a joy to be a part of the Body of Christ, joining together for one purpose!

Just wanted you to know that the first comment was from Becky (although it expresses what I feel, too). She just used my blogger account to send the post, so it showed up as me. I wanted you to know because Becky normally is not a computer person and it shows how much she loves you that she actually sat down and typed something into the computer herself! I love you too and am blessed to know you.

David, Katie, and John David,
It was great to see you again today at the Global Impact Celebration. We will be praying for you guys as you prepare to minister to the people of Zambia! We pray that our family and yours will always give all we have to further God's kingdom. Please be safe in Africa and blog as you are able, so that we will know how to pray specifically for your family.

Katie, I can't wait to meet you and little John David. David was my friend from UM and I know you are a jewel. I pray that you will feel much comfort from God as you travel to Zambia. I, as a woman, know that you are likely fearful of what the future holds, but I pray that God will comfort you and give you a peace that passes understanding.

You guys can keep up with us at our blog.... www.thesimsfamilywebsite.blogspot.com

Blessings!
