Celebrating 3 Years of John David

As I reflect on this day three years ago, my heart is filled with overwhelming joy and gratitude.  So much has happened in our lives since May 31, 2007.  The day that precious John David entered our lives, of course, things have never been the same.  I praise the Lord!

John David's life thus far has been a picture of mercy and grace.  I pray that the Lord will continue to lavish these gifts upon our son all of the days of his life.  Despite all that I would love to share in this post, I thought I would limit it to a few pictures.

We were so thankful to welcome John David into the world.

We love you, John David, and we praise the Lord for your life!

Thank you, dear Lord, for our precious son.  Thank you that you have a beautiful, perfect plan for his life.  Thank you that You will finish the good work that You have already begun in John David's heart.  We entrust him to You each day.  Please give David and I wisdom and grace to be good stewards of our son during our time on this earth as his parents.  May You be glorified in and through the life John David Kizziah, Junior.
In the Name of Jesus,
Amen!

And Lord, give the grandparents and Aunts and Uncles and cousins and special friends a heart to know how to bless him and help him become all that You created him to be. In the blessed Name of Jesus, AMEN.

I see that I'm a few days late but...happy #3 birthday, sweet John David! I hope it was a happy day! Believe it or not, I was in Tuscaloosa on Monday afternoon eating a late lunch at Los Calientes (at Exit 73 off of I 20) I'd been in Gatlinburg for Bill Gaither's family fest and was on the way back to TX. Our waiter was a young man named Angel, from Mexico. He was very nice and loved having someone talk with him about where he was from, how long he'd been here etc...he said he likes being able to practice his English. ANYWAY...I did think of y'all and if I had known we were going to stop in "the big T" I would have given you a call! Praying for y'all as you continue to do such a GREAT job raising John David!

Miss Marlene!! How we would have loved to come and gotten a Miss Marlene hug during your Tuscaloosa break in your travels. Though I'm so sad that we missed you, there is something about just knowing you were close by that does make me feel warm and fuzzy inside:) Oh yes ~ We would love to meet up with you if you are in our neck of the woods again!

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes for John David. It is so hard to believe that he is 3! And thank you for your encouragement to David and I as his parents. Please continue to pray that God will grant daily grace and wisdom. God is good and His grace is indeed sufficient. We praise the Lord that John David is doing so well. His improvements are amazing to us. Truly, Praise the Lord!

We love you and are so grateful for the part that you played in us getting our son the help that he so greatly needed. We will always give thanks for Miss Marlene!
