Passion Week: Sunday (The LORD'S Day)

Sunday (The Lord’s Day) Mark 16:1-8
The single most important day for every follower of Jesus is today! The resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth is the turning point of history. It is because He lives that our faith is valid. It is because He lives that we may have hope beyond the grave. It is because He lives that He is worthy of worship. And it is because He lives that we may have confidence to engage in service to this world.

Yes, this is what I want to focus on today, namely,

The resurrection of Jesus empowers me to take great risks for the gospel!

This is what 1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us. After walking us through the significance of the resurrection as it relates to our present faith and future hope, Paul then tells us how this truth effects our gospel labors,
“Therefore [because Christ has risen and taken the sting of death away] my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain

He lives so that we can die in service of the gospel, and know that our deaths (and lives) have significant meaning, impact, and value.

Let us serve our risen Lord today and long for His return!!

Thank you Katie for the beautiful pictures of the children.
That picture of the cross John David painted if professional. It is just beautiful and the painting is perfect.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, sweet Granny. It is my pleasure to post updates and photos of the children. It is good for my record keeping, as well as keeping the family posted as well.
I must agree with you about John David's painting. I definitely want that one framed.
I love you. It was great hearing your voice today. I am praying for you and Pop.
Love,
Katie
